BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. -- A Golden Valley man is in custody for allegedly having about 35 grams of methamphetamine in his vehicle that was stopped by Bullhead City police.
A police officer pulled over 44-year-old Dale Vern Van Drimmelen for speeding Monday on Highway 95.
During the traffic stop, police say Van Drimmelen appeared to be nervous and a narcotics-detection dog was called to the scene.
Police say they found baggies containing methamphetamine, meth pipes, several empty plastic baggies commonly used to package meth, a loaded 9mm pistol, a loaded magazine and boxes of ammunition.
Drimmelen is being held at the Mohave County Jail in Kingman on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs, possession and transportation of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, misconduct involving weapons.
He also was cited for speeding.
