TUCSON, Ariz. -- Thousands of Tucson residents woke up Tuesday without electrical power after wind toppled lines and poles.
Much of Monday night's damage was sustained by homes on the southern Arizona city's northwest side.
Estimates on the number of Tucson Electric Power customers affected by outages ranged up to 13,000.
TEP said wind and rain slowed some repair work.
At least 15 storm-damage poles needed to be replaced.
