BLACK CANYON CITY, Ariz. -- A tractor-trailer rig and another vehicle collided Friday and then went off northbound Interstate 17 and down several hundred feet down a slope in the median near Black Canyon City. Four people were injured.

Television news footage showed firefighters carrying a person on a stretcher up the slope from the truck toward emergency vehicles while another responder was examining the second vehicle some distance away on the slope.

Both vehicles appeared to be upright, and the Department of Public Safety said the injuries were minor.
