GLENDALE, Ariz. -- A West Valley man is fighting to stay alive after being hit by car early Monday morning.

Police said, Russell Tiger, 34, was crossing the street near 47th and Olive avenues around 12:30 a.m. when a woman in a car ran into him.

Sgt. Jeff Turney said paramedics took the man to a hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

Police said the driver is cooperating and showed no signs of impairment.
