PHOENIX – It might not be the best time to hang out at the park here in the Valley, but have you thought how far you have to travel to your nearest park?
The Trust for Public Land released its 2013 ParkScore Index, which analyzed the top 50 largest U.S. cities and the city of Phoenix didn’t do so hot.
The Valley of the Sun scored 51.5 points out of 100, or two and-a-half benches out of five, meaning the city has a long way to go to improve access and services at its parks.
Minneapolis took first place, while Fresno came in last.
