FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- A body found in northern Arizona has been identified as that of a Washington state man with a federal warrant out for his arrest.

Coconino County Sheriff's officials said the body of 47-year-old Stephen Buck was discovered May 27 by a hiker in Oak Creek Canyon.

The clothed body was found behind trees near a creek. Authorities said there were no signs of injuries or trauma associated with foul play, but that several types of controlled substances or narcotics were found near the body.

No cause of death had been determined.

Sheriff's officials said a key found in Buck's clothing was matched to a stolen U-Haul van and there was an active federal warrant for his arrest out of California.
