SEDONA, Ariz. -- Authorities say a New Jersey-area woman is dead after an ATV accident in northern Arizona.

Yavapai County Sheriff's officials identify the victim as 33-year-old Nadiya Zaverbna.

They say she and her fiance were riding rented quads Wednesday afternoon on a forest road in Sedona.

The man was travelling in front of Zaverbna and told authorities he noticed in his rear view mirror that she had crashed about 2:15 p.m.

Authorities say Zaverbna wasn't wearing a helmet and a jeep tour group in the area stopped to render aid until paramedics arrived.

They say Zaverbna was declared dead at the scene.

Sheriff's officials say Zaverbna's fiance also is from the New Jersey-area, but didn't have information on their hometowns.

Authorities say an investigation into the woman's death was continuing Thursday.
