BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. -- Authorities say a northwestern Arizona man allegedly faked his own death and took a bus trip to visit a friend in Washington, D.C.

Bullhead City police said Wednesday that 18-year-old Jordan Brady Jenner came into District of Columbia Capital Police station claiming he was kidnapped, but his story was inconsistent with the facts.

Renner's parents contacted Bullhead City police on May 26 after he failed to return home.

His vehicle and his personal belongings- including car keys, clothes, cellphone and wallet with identification- were found at a park by the Colorado River.

A two-day ground and air search of the area didn't turn up any sign of Renner.

Authorities say the case will be forwarded to the Mohave County Attorney's Office for possible criminal charges and search restitution.
