PHOENIX -- A man is in custody after a standoff with Phoenix police ended without injury Wednesday afternoon.

The man had barricaded himself and his son in a house near 44th Street and Southern Avenue late morning. The man was unarmed and police said the boy was safe.

Police said a domestic dispute between the unidentified man and his girlfriend led to the man locking himself and the boy in the house.
