YUMA, Ariz. -- A Yuma truck driver has pleaded not guilty to 20 felony charges stemming from the May 6 death of an Arizona Department of Public Safety officer.

Officer Tim Huffman was killed in his patrol vehicle when it was struck as part of a multivehicle collision involving a tractor-trailer rig driven by 33-year-old Jorge Espinoza.

The accident occurred as Huffman was writing a report at an accident site on Interstate 8 in eastern Yuma County.

The Yuma Sun reported that Espinoza was arraigned Monday in Yuma County Superior Court on one count of second-degree murder, 13 of endangerment and six of criminal damage.

Espinoza was not injured in the crash.
