TUCSON, Ariz. -- The resentencing of a woman serving a natural-life prison sentence for killing her roommate at the University of Arizona has been postponed.

A resentencing hearing for Galareka Harrison was to be held Monday in Pima County Superior Court in Tucson.

However, television station KOLD reported that the resentencing has been reset for Aug. 26.

Harrison was convicted of first-degree murder in the 2007 stabbing death of 18-year-old Mia Henderson, a fellow Navajo and UofA freshman.

Harrison was granted a new sentencing after her attorney argued that her previous lawyers failed to obtain her medical records and didn't properly investigate her troubled background.

Harrison's appellate attorney said she shouldn't be in prison for the rest of her life without the possibility of parole.
