PHOENIX -- A former elementary schoolteacher in the Paradise Valley School District has pleaded guilty in a child pornography case.

Maricopa County prosecutors said 54-year-old Thomas H. Warner pleaded guilty Thursday to sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of attempted exploitation of a minor.

He's scheduled to be sentenced July 9.

Warner was arrested in February 2012 on suspicion of 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Police detectives from the Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served a search warrant for child pornography at Warner's home and said they found thousands of pictures and videos of underage boys.

At the time of his arrest, Warner was a fourth-grade teacher at North Ranch Elementary and had been at the school for several years.
