PHOENIX — Former Arizona Attorney General Grant Woods said Jodi Arias started running a tab on county taxpayers the moment she killed Travis Alexander.
“Everyone that you’re seeing on TV is being paid for by you: The lawyers, the investigations, the judge, the court personnel, the jurors, the experts.”
Woods said Arias is an amazing manipulator who worked the system to her advantage.
“It just never seems to end,” he said. “She was allowed to line up TV interviews while the jury was out and that was crazy. She manipulated the system from the moment she pulled the trigger.”
The final price tag for Arias’ trial is estimated to exceed $2 million.
