Man arrested in Glendale shooting that left 1 dead
GLENDALE, Ariz. — A man is in custody in connection with a shooting in Glendale that left one woman dead and a man wounded.
Glendale police say 22-year-old Angelo Medina was arrested Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of second-degree murder, aggravated assault and discharging a firearm in an occupied structure.
Police received a call about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday about a shooting at a residence.
They say 42-year-old Christina Marquez was found with gunshot wounds and later died.
A 36-year-old man struck by gunfire was found at the front of the residence and is recovering. Police haven't released his name.
Police say the shooting may have stemmed from a child custody dispute.
They didn't immediately know Wednesday night if Medina has a lawyer yet.
