PHOENIX -- A group of 15 women from Safford, Ariz., claimed a $1 million Powerball prize on Wednesday.

Three women, Donna Talley, Wendy Layton and Gloria Ogas, represented the group in claiming the winning ticket for the May 18 drawing. Each member of the group received a check for $46,666.90 after taxes.

Talley purchased the ticket at Giant, located at 300 E. Hwy. 70 in Safford.

A second ticket worth $1 million was sold in Chandler. That person has not been identified.
