Metro Phoenix cracks list of top U.S. beer cities

Raise a glass! Phoenix is among the top beer cities in America.

According to the Examiner, Metro Phoenix was voted as the ninth-best beer city in America.

In total, the Phoenix area, home to breweries such as Four Peaks and San Tan, received a total of 351 votes.

Overall, the top beer city was Grand Rapids, Mich., followed by Kalamazoo, Mich. and Asheville, N.C., respectively.

About 50,000 votes were cast in a five-day period to determine the top beer cities.
