PEORIA -- Police say a man has died and his friend is facing a murder charge after their horseplay at a Peoria sports bar got a little too rough.

KPHO-TV reports that 39-year-old Matthew Pape has been charged with second-degree murder for the death of a 45-year-old man from Surprise.

Enoch Lucero, owner of Enoch's Sports Lounge, says the two men were joking Friday around a cell phone when one of them fell and hit his head during a scuffle.

Lucero says the two men were best friends and regulars at the bar.

The victim has not been identified.

It was unclear if Pape had an attorney.
