PHOENIX — A terminal at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is open following a brief evacuation caused by an unattended item.
Parts of Terminal 4 were evacuated around 11 a.m. Saturday after the item was spotted near the D Gate. Flights were transferred to other gates while authorities with the Transportation Security Administration investigated.
Airport spokeswoman Julie Rodriguez says the item was checked out and authorities determined there was no threat. She says the airport returned to normal operations after 30 minutes.
