PHOENIX -- A man is in custody for allegedly making threats against schools and employees in Superior.

Pinal County authorities say 39-year-old Antonio Jose Ramirez was arrested Thursday evening.

They say Ramirez allegedly left a voicemail message in November 2011 at John F. Kennedy Elementary School threatening to burn employees.

Authorities say Ramirez also is accused of threatening to blow up a school employee, everyone at her home and people at Kennedy Elementary and Superior Junior/Senior High School last month.

Phoenix TV station KTVK reports that normal operation at the schools was disrupted due to the nature of the threats.

Pinal County Attorney Lando Voyles says Ramirez is facing three felony counts and is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.

Authorities didn't immediately know Friday if Ramirez has a lawyer.
