FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- A judge on Tuesday sentenced a Coconino County woman to probation after she pleaded guilty to child abuse for posting photos of her duct-taped young children on Facebook.

The Arizona Daily Sun reported 20-year-old Kayla Almuina could see her felony child abuse conviction reduced to a misdemeanor if she completes probation.

The felony conviction will remain for her husband. He was sentenced earlier to 18 months' probation in the case.

Frankie Almuina told jurors he was playing a game with his children when he taped their hands, mouths and feet in December 2011.

Kayla Almuina took photos and posted them online, prompting one of her friends to report them to police.

One of the photos showed their 2-year-old son being hung upside down by his bound feet.

Investigators arrived at the home within hours of the photos being posted online.

The couple spent 59 days in jail after their arrests.
