PHOENIX -- A juror dismissed from the Jodi Arias murder trial in Phoenix says he was excused after telling court officials that he was arrested for DUI.

No reason was given by a Maricopa County Superior Court judge about the release of Juror No. 8 last Thursday.

Daniel Gibb tells Phoenix TV station KSAZ that he was arrested on April 20.

Gibb says he could have proceeded on the case, but he didn't think it was the right thing to do.

Juror No. 11- another man- was excused because of health reasons on April 12.

A woman who was Juror No. 5 was dismissed on April 2, reportedly for making statements that showed a bias.

There are 15 remaining jurors. Twelve will eventually decide the fate of the 32-year-old Arias.
