An old church in Phoenix will soon be transformed into a new modern restaurant.
According to Phoenix Business Journal, Z’Tejas will locate its new restaurant concept, Taco Guild, in an old church on 7th Street and Osborn Road as apart of a redevelopment project designed will remake historical locations into modern spaces.
Z’Tejas CEO, Steven Micheletti, explained that the choice of the church was due to its sustainability.
“”We spent quite some time looking for the perfect spot knowing that we want to repurpose, not rebuild,” he said. “With the vibrant neighborhood surrounding it, we feel that Taco Guild will add an energetic element to the midtown and Central corridor atmosphere.”
The new eatery will be a pub-style restaurant and will open alongside a Starbucks.
