FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- A Flagstaff man arrested in a fatal motorcycle crash last year has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter charges.

Coconino County prosecutors say Dylan Derek Allen entered his plea Monday.

He was indicted by a county grand jury last week on counts of manslaughter, DUI and DUI involving drugs in the Oct. 29 death of a 19-year-old Flagstaff woman.

Authorities say Amber Nicole Carl was riding on the back of Allen's motorcycle when the crash occurred.

Investigators claim Allen was under the influence of marijuana when he lost control of the motorcycle behind a store at the Flagstaff Mall.

Allen was 18 at the time of the accident and wasn't injured in the crash.

The Arizona Daily Sun reports that Carl died of her injuries several days after the accident.
