TUCSON, Ariz. -- A joint law enforcement investigation into six bank robberies in the Phoenix and Tucson areas has resulted in the arrest of a 31-year-old Tucson man.

The Pima County Sheriff's Office said Elias Freig was arrested at his home Monday morning.

The robberies included two in the Phoenix area and four in the Tucson area, with the first taking place Dec. 23, 2011 at a Chase Bank branch in Pima County.

The sheriff's office said other agencies participating in the investigation included the FBI and the Tucson Police Department.
