Former Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas informed media on Thursday that he would be entering his name into the 2014 race for Arizona governor.
“I’ll be focusing on the need to protect public safety, ensure border security, and fight corruption, among other issues,” he said in an email.
Thomas was disbarred in April 2012 after being suspected of filing charges against political opponents.
Earlier this week, Democrat Fred Duval also announced his intention to run for governor.
