U of A alumna, husband injured in Boston Marathon bombings

A University of Arizona alumna and her husband each lost a leg during the Boston Marathon bombings.
According to the BostonHerald.com, Jessica, 32, and Patrick, 30, Downes received left leg amputations below the knee. Family and friends of the newlyweds have reached out to the public asking for help with their medical expenses.
As of noon Tuesday, GiveForward.com has raised over $663,000 from more than 11,400 donations. The page has 117 days remaining to reach its $1 million goal.
GoFundMe.com has received over $16,300 from 250 people in five days. The site hopes to raise $250,000.
