PHOENIX -- Gov. Jan Brewer plans to be out of state for a week to attend a Republican women's club meeting in New York and the dedication of the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas.

Brewer spokesman Matthew Benson said the governor is leaving Saturday and returns on Saturday, April 27.

She's to give a speech Monday in New York at the Women's National Republican Club annual awards reception, then attend the presidential center dedication in Dallas on Thursday. Bush and his father, President George H.W. Bush, plan to attend along with former presidents Carter and Clinton and President Barack Obama.

Benson said he has no schedule for the remainder of Brewer's week, referring questions to Brewer's political group, Jan Pac. Jan Pac's spokesman was working to get information.
