PHOENIX -- Authorities say they've arrested the alleged gunman in the fatal shooting of two bail bondsmen in northwest Phoenix.

Phoenix police say 23-year-old Nicholas Malicki was taken into custody Thursday. He's being held on suspicion of two counts of first-degree murder.

Authorities say 37-year-old David Brickert and 39-year-old Wesley Kampen were found dead at the scene Monday night near an apartment.

Police say the two men from Sanctuary Bail Bonds were there to take 25-year-old Anthony Brian Giunta into custody after he skipped on bail.

They say Giunta was handcuffed by the bondsmen before another man fatally shot the victims.

Giunta and the shooter fled the scene, but police say Giunta was arrested hours later.

Giunta remains held on suspicion of misconduct with a weapon, aggravated assault and resisting arrest.
