Glendale police raid store, file drug charges against manager
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Glendale police detectives executing a search warrant seized thousands of vials of material believed to be illegal synthetic marijuana known as "spice" as well as large containers of bulk materials for making synthetic drugs.
According to police, the raid Tuesday largely resulted from information received from state tax officers, who performed a routine inspection of the business, Pronto Mart.
The tax officers told police they saw what appeared to be manufacturing taking place in back rooms of the business.
Police said they're asking for felony charges of drug possession and manufacturing to be filed against the store manager.
No telephone is listed in the name of Pronto Mart.
