PHOENIX — Parents in Arizona have access to some of the top educational resources in the state, according to one poll.
The Phoenix Business Journal reported Arizona ranked sixth on The Center for Education Reform’s Parent Power Index.
The ranking was based on factors such as teacher quality, transparency, and access to data, along with SAT scores, ACT scores and graduation rate.
The Phoenix Business Journal noted that Arizona scored well on the index because of its scholarship program for students with disabilities and a tax credit that has allowed over 30,000 children to go to new schools.
Indiana topped the list, followed by Florida and Louisiana.
