BUCKEYE, Ariz. -- Authorities say a hay fire at a dairy farm in Buckeye is contained, but likely will smolder for several days.

The fire was reported about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at a farm south of Buckeye Municipal Airport and its cause isn't immediately clear.

Buckeye Valley Fire District officials say there's no structural damage other than to the barn where the tightly rolled and compacted hay was stored.

Phoenix TV station KPHO says the fire rekindled later Wednesday afternoon, but has been contained to an area of about 12,000 square feet.
