PHOENIX -- Authorities say a man is in custody for allegedly stabbing two brothers in west Phoenix with one of the victims later dying from his wounds.

Phoenix police say 21-year-old Clint Eastwood Maez is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder and an outstanding warrant.

Authorities say the two brothers were stabbed March 28 at a west Phoenix apartment complex.

Police say a man approached the brothers and the three got into a verbal altercation, resulting in the assault.

Authorities say 50-year-old Johnny Espindola died in a hospital and his 54-year-old brother sustained non-life threatening injuries.
