PHOENIX (AP)- An elderly couple has been found dead in their Glendale home and authorities say it appears to be a murder-suicide.
Glendale police officers responded to a 911 call around 9:30 p.m. Monday and found the bodies of 86-year-old George Deckard and his 86-year-old wife Margaret.
Police say they believe the man shot his wife and then himself.
The Arizona Republic reports that George Deckard left a handwritten note in the house.
Police didn't release the contents of the note, but say the details were consistent with a murder-suicide and the couple had various medical issues.
