Immigration rally held outside offices of McCain, Flake

PHOENIX -- About three dozen members of, Living United for Change in Arizona (LUCHA) and other organizations marched to the Phoenix offices of senators John McCain and Jeff Flake on Thursday.

Grecia Lima with Promise Arizona in Action said marchers dropped of a petition with more than 7,000 signatures collected in 30 days of people who "support and families to stay together and have changes in our immigration system."

Demonstrators say they applaud the senators for being part of the Gang of 8 but are hoping for changes to come sooner rather than later.

About the Author

Sandra moved from the small border city of Yuma, Arizona to study Broadcast Journalism at Arizona State University in the late 90s. Since graduating, she's worked at several local TV stations including Univision, Fox 10 and 3TV.
