Georgia high schools students are pushing for an integrated prom.
According to WCNC.com, a group of Wilcox County High School students claimed they are embarrassed of their school’s policy of hosting two separate, segregated proms and want to see a change.
“We are all friends; that’s just kind of not right that we can’t go to prom together,” one student expressed.
While the school agreed to permit an integrated prom, it will still have the two separate proms, one for “whites” and one for “coloreds.”
