PHOENIX — A motion for mistrial in the Jodi Arias trial was denied Tuesday, but a juror was released for improper conduct.
According to court documents, the unidentified Juror 5 made comments to other jurors that may bias the opinion of the other jurors. It was not specified what Juror 5 said.
The documents show that the comments were made on March 28, the same day that prosecutor Juan Martinez was accused of signing autographs and posing for pictures outside of the courthouse.
The defense offered the release of the juror in question as an alternative to mistrial.
