TUCSON, Ariz. -- Authorities say a woman is in custody in connection with a homicide case in Tucson.
Tucson police said Thursday that 36-year-old Cassandra Salaz has been booked into the Pima County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder.
The U.S. Marshals Service located Salaz at a Tucson motel near Interstate 10 on Wednesday morning.
They say she was taken into custody without incident and turned over to Tucson police.
Authorities have identified the victim in the homicide case as 41-year-old Juan Barrios.
Details of the case weren't immediately available Thursday and police didn't know if Salaz has an attorney yet.
