SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Authorities say a Scottsdale accused of killing his wife is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder.

Scottsdale police say 61-year-old Michael J. Cohn has been booked into jail and is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.

They say he called 911 about 11 a.m. Wednesday and claimed he had strangled his 60-year-old wife in his home located inside the Eagle Ridge development.

When officers arrived on the scene, police say Cohn came outside and was arrested without incident.

Police say there were no other occupants at the house and the body of Linda Cohn was found in a bathroom.

Detectives still are looking into the circumstances of the woman's death, but say the couple had no known history of domestic violence.
