LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. -- Authorities have recovered the body of a California man who fell off a pontoon boat at Lake Havasu.

Mohave County sheriff's spokeswoman Trish Carter said 25-year-old Stefan Fowler was pulled from Thompson Bay on Wednesday morning.

She said an autopsy will be conducted.

The Campbell, Calif., man was reported missing in the water late Tuesday afternoon and wasn't wearing a lifejacket.

Mike Quijada of the Lake Havasu City Fire Department said about six people were on the pontoon boat.

He told Today's News-Herald that they had been taking a picture when Fowler fell off the front of the boat. He said the group later heard a thump and saw blood in the water.

Quijada said Fowler had been visiting Lake Havasu City on spring break.
