FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- The Arizona Snowbowl is nearing the end of its 75th season.
The ski resort just outside Flagstaff will close for the season on Sunday. It will open three more days in April in celebration of the anniversary.
The Snowbowl received 219 inches of snow this season and has a 61-inch base.
Officials were able to turn to snowmaking equipment for the first time this season to supplement the natural snow.
Native American tribes had argued that snowmaking violates their religious rights, would harm an endangered plant and poses a public health risk. But they were unsuccessful in blocking it.
