PHOENIX -- A former Paradise Valley High School teacher accused of having sex with a female student last year has pleaded guilty in the case.

Maricopa County prosecutors said 26-year-old Jordan Doneskey pleaded guilty Tuesday to three counts of attempted sexual conduct with a minor.

He's scheduled to be sentenced on April 25.

Doneskey was arrested last August along with the mother of the then 17-year-old student, who was accused of child abuse and failure to report.

Police believe the mother was aware of the relationship.

The relationship with Doneskey allegedly began in early April.

Doneskey taught English at Paradise Valley High and had been at the school since 2009.
