CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Authorities have identified a man who was killed after he crashed his motorcycle into the back of an SUV in Chandler.

Chandler police say the victim is 22-year-old Anthony Ray Chavez.

Authorities say Chavez is a former Marine, but it's still unclear if he's an Arizona resident.

Police say Chavez might have been impaired and was riding his motorcycle at least 90 mph at the time of the accident about 2:15 a.m. Sunday.

Chavez was thrown from his motorcycle, which then struck a light pole. He later died at a trauma center.

Police say all four people in the SUV escaped injury.
