The infamously anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church has a new neighbor who plans to counter act their efforts.

Arron Jackson a founder of Planting Peace, a multi-platform charity, bought a house which sits directly across from Westboro Baptist Church.

According to The Huffington Post, on Tuesday he had a team of volunteers paint it to match the gay pride flag.

The "Equality House" -- is the first in a new campaign Planting Peace plans to wage against the group. Westboro is known for its intimidating tactics of protesting (or threatening to protest) what they refer to as America's pro-gay, anti-God agenda.

Planting Peace purchased the house for about $83,000 about a month ago, but Jackson waited for the perfect time to transform the house into a celebration of gay pride.

This is great. Where in Christianity is hate-mongering an involved practice? What are Fred Phelps and the WBC afraid of anyhow? Rainbows? Unicorns? A flaming pink queer apocalypse? I attempted to address this with a portrait of the good reverend on my artist’s blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/03/fred-phelps-and-westboro-baptist-church.html Drop in and let me know what you think!

Not fond of them, but got to admit they got b*****! Would be more hilarious if one of those morons in that cult found out tha he/she is gay and jump ship.

Love the sinner, hate the sin.
I think too many people, Christians included, sometimes forget that God does indeed love every human being. From a personal belief, I firmly believe that all people are sons and daughters of God, and so we should treat each other as brothers and sisters. However, God does not condone sin hence commandments, and while I have no doubt God is merciful and forgives his children when they repent, and we need to show love to our fellow brothers and sisters, we do not need to accept their lifestyle as acceptable, and will continue to preach against it. We must not hate, but cannot condone.
