Cab driver killed in single-car accident east of Phoenix

MESA, Ariz. -- A cab driver was killed Monday when his vehicle struck a light pole after abruptly swerving toward a street median.
Police said preliminary reports indicate the 54-year-old driver had a possible medical condition. The accident occurred at Power Road and Hampton Avenue.
A 27-year-old man who was a passenger in the vehicle wasn't injured.
