Winning breeds popularity in professional sports, and the Phoenix Coyotes have certainly experienced that in 2013. This season, Coyotes’ attendance is up six percent from a season ago.
According to Phoenix Business Journal, the Coyotes averaged 13,226 fans per game this season.
That is a slight increase from 12, 240 fans that came through the Jobing.com Arena turnstiles during the team’s magical run to the Western Conference Finals in 2011-12.
Although the Coyotes have seen increased crowds this season, the team still ranks No. 29 out of 30 in attendance among NHL teams, slightly beating out the New York Islanders.
