Nev. woman dies after car rolls into Yuma lake
YUMA, Ariz. -- Authorities in southwestern Arizona said a Nevada woman is dead after the car she was driving rolled into a shallow lake in Yuma.
Yuma County Sheriff's officials on Thursday identified the victim as 23-year-old Maria Celina Rubio-Morales, of Las Vegas.
Three passengers in the car escaped injury.
Authorities said Rubio-Morales lost control of the vehicle about 9 p.m. Wednesday. The car slid sideways and rolled into Mittry Lake.
They said passers-by got Rubio-Morales out of the vehicle and sheriff's deputies performed CPR on her. She was transported by ambulance to Yuma Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.
