PHOENIX -- Arizona's unemployment rate is up, rising from 7.9 percent in December to 8 percent in January.

The state Department of Administration released the latest figures Thursday.

Department economists said there were seasonal job losses in Arizona's government and the private sector.

The department said Arizona lost 45,500 non-farm jobs in January.

Retail trade and employment industries lost the most jobs, reflecting typical reductions after the December holiday shopping season.

Economists said public education lost 9,400 jobs around Arizona, the largest January loss in that sector since 2007.

Wise up people we have a President that is allowing the sale of natural gas companies to China that are here on our soil. So he can still receive more loans made in our countries name. They are planning "development zone" here on our soil and want only to have there Chinese workers living here on our soil. More invaders to give birth on our soil and owning this nation. If this adminstration would get out of the way and let our natural gas companies export it themselves these companies would survive. Instead it stands in the way lying to the American public for their socialist agenda.
