Arias testimony ends, more witnesses set in murder trial

PHOENIX -- Jodi Arias' death penalty trial is set to resume after she concluded 18 days of testimony in the murder case against her.

Arias is charged with first-degree murder in the June 2008 death of Travis Alexander in his suburban Phoenix home. Authorities say she planned the attack on her lover in a jealous rage. Arias says it was self-defense.

Arias testified over nearly six weeks on the witness stand before concluding her testimony on Wednesday. Trial was set to resume Thursday as defense attorneys call additional witnesses.

Last week, jurors posed about 220 questions to Arias making it clear they aren't satisfied with her explanations. Arizona law allows jurors to quiz defendants through written questions read aloud by the judge. The panel had about 10 more questions Wednesday.
