Call it a stroke of luck or a just case of stupidity at its finest, but a waitress was handed her own ID by a customer who had stolen it a month earlier.
Brianna Priddy, who works at an Applebee’s in Denver, had her wallet stolen back in February and had all but assumed she’d never recover it.
According to KTLA.com, Priddy was taking a drink order last Monday from a customer when she asked to see proper identification.
Much to her surprise, the driver’s license she was handed was her own. Rather than confront the customer, Priddy had the presence of mind to take the order before authorities were notified.
KTLA reports the 26-year-old suspect is facing theft charges, along with drug charges related to another investigation.
