TUCSON, Ariz. -- A teenager is jailed on a $1 million bond in connection with the fatal shooting of a Tucson man last weekend.

Pima County Sheriff's officials say Sammy Anthony Terrazas Jr. was arrested Tuesday at Tucson's Pueblo Magnet High School, where he is a student.

They say Terrazas has been booked into the county jail on suspicion of first-degree murder in the shooting death of 19-year-old Jesus Duarte.

Terrazas turns 18 on Friday.

Authorities say Terrazas is suspected of luring Duarte out of his home just before midnight Sunday and allegedly shooting the victim multiple times as he pleaded for his life.

The Arizona Daily Star says detectives learned Duarte allegedly was in an intimate relationship with Terrazas's girlfriend.

Authorities didn't immediately know Wednesday if Terrazas has a lawyer yet.
